Bio

Servant is the most fitting word to describe Pastor Harold L. Taylor, II. With a heart dedicated to worshiping God through serving His people, Pastor Taylor has given his life to ministry in every sense of the word. His journey of service includes nearly every church ministry and auxiliary—from youth usher board and youth council to choir member, choir director, minister of music, youth pastor, and senior pastor. He even extended his ministry internationally as a missionary, traveling annually to the Bahamas to share the Gospel.

Pastor Taylor began his ministerial journey as the Youth Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Detroit, where he was licensed as a minister. He was later ordained with a divine mission to preach and teach the unadulterated Word of God. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from United Theological Seminary.

Affectionately known as Pastor T., he is known for his gift of bridging generational gaps in both preaching and teaching. He believes that the key to uniting people is first bringing them closer to God—and the pathway to closeness with God is worship. Praise and worship, he says, is the common ground on which all believers can stand.

Pastor Taylor is also a sought-after keynote and motivational speaker, having delivered powerful messages at conferences, commencement ceremonies, church services, and special events. In the education space, he is highly respected for helping educators build stronger relationships with students and improve their effectiveness. His expertise includes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), restorative practices, and program development. He is a leader in relationship building and implementation of transformational systems.

An accomplished performing artist, Pastor Taylor is a gifted vocalist, vocal instructor, actor, acting coach, pianist, and organist. He is also a writer and director of original musical productions. In addition, he serves as a Christian counselor, marriage counselor, and life consultant, providing guidance with wisdom and compassion.

Pastor Taylor is happily married to Lady Latanya Taylor, and together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Alexus, Wallace, and Kassidy. He often refers to his family as his “first church,” a ministry of love and leadership that remains his greatest pride.
